A Rare Case of Late LAD Reimplantation after Arterial Switch Operation

چکیده
Arterial switch operation (ASO) is a complex neonatal in which transfer of the coronary arteries origins key to success. Coronary events after successful ASO are not uncommon. We describe rare case child who underwent an period with one (LAD) described as atretic left place. At age seven, he developed myocardial ischemia due retrograde flow steal phenomenon from LAD into pulmonary artery. The patient late reimplantation. This underscores that even very small ostia should be translocated at time ASO.

Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Findings Late After the Arterial Switch Operation.
BACKGROUND Despite its robust diagnostic capabilities in adolescents and adult patients after the arterial switch operation, little information is available on the cardiovascular magnetic resonance findings in this population. METHODS AND RESULTS The cardiovascular magnetic resonance findings of 220 consecutive patients evaluated in our center were retrospectively reviewed (median age at card...
متن کاملLate coronary complications after arterial switch operation and their treatment.
OBJECTIVES To report the late coronary complications and their treatment after arterial switch operation (ASO). BACKGROUND Asymptomatic patients after ASO may have coronary ostial stenosis or obstruction. METHODS Since 1980, 279 patients were operated with ASO. At the time of preparing this article, selective follow-up coronary angiograms were done on 81 patients. RESULTS Coronary stenosi...
متن کاملValve-Sparing Reimplantation Technique for Treatment of Neoaortic Root Dilatation Late after the Arterial Switch Operation: Raising the Bar
Neoaortic root dilatation can develop during long-term follow-up after an arterial switch operation (ASO). Although few patients require surgical reintervention, significant valve regurgitation is still an important cause of late morbidity. We report on a 15-year-old boy with significant dilatation of the neoaortic root that was treated with the valve-sparing reimplantation technique. There is ...
متن کاملNeo-coarctation after the arterial switch operation.
Neo-coarctation following arterial switch operation (ASO) for transposition of the great arteries (TGA) is a complication that is not regularly described, but may occur. We describe five patients who developed a neo-coarctation after operation. They were diagnosed with TGA, either with or without ventricular septal defect without signs or symptoms of a coarctation. Except for one patient, all p...
متن کاملAortic regurgitation after arterial switch operation.
n the early 1980s, Jatene developed the arterial switch peration (ASO), which soon became the preferred surgery or d-loop transposition of the great arteries (TGA). This peration includes translocation of the pulmonary artery and orta above the sinuses, often with a Lecompte maneuver bringing the pulmonary artery anterior to the aorta) and oronary reimplantation into the neo-aortic sinuses. Alh...
